Cenote Aerolito de Paraíso
On the western coast of Cozumel island, Cenote Aerolito de Paraíso is a rare anchialine pool — an open cenote directly connected to the sea through submerged passages. Its shallow, clear water hosts a unique ecosystem including endemic crustaceans not found anywhere else on Earth. An underwater cave system extends beneath the pool for experienced cave divers. The cenote is also known as Aerolito del Paraíso.
