Cenote El Pit
Closed Cenote
🅂 Scuba Diving
One of the most famous and challenging dive sites in the Yucatán, El Pit is a vertical cave cenote near Tulum that plunges to over 120 meters. At around 30 meters depth, divers encounter a dramatic halocline — a hydrogen sulfide cloud that creates a mirror-like effect on the water surface. A truly otherworldly experience reserved for experienced divers.
